2 weeks have gone for this 4th semester, and there is still too many to learn... Fiuuhhh.. Alhamdulillah , everything goes smoothly during this time.. I would like to share about what I have learn in my class, hope it can raise your knowledge..One of my subject for this semester is Business Driven Technology. I already learn some of it which is the very first Chapter 1. Okay here we go... Happy reading!
Information technology (IT) is a field concerned with the use of technology in managing and processing information, It is an important enabler of business success and innovation. Next, management information systems (MIS) is a general name for the business function and academic discipline covering the application of people, technologies and procedures to solve business problems. It is a business function similar to Accounting, Finance, Operations and Human Resources.
Besides, there are 3 basics of IT which are Data, Information and Business Intelligence, IT resources and IT cultures. Data is different with information. Data means a raw facts that describe the characteristic of an event. Information is a data converted into a meaningful and useful context. While business intelligence is an applications and technologies that are used to support decision-making efforts.
